Cookery Classes & Lunches in The Dorset Kitchen

Relaxed cookery class & lunch with a professional chef. Vegetable-focused menus featuring seasonal, local ingredients. Food inspired by Mediterranean cuisines from southern Europe to the Middle East and North Africa.

I cook all the dishes we will eat for lunch, while you watch and take part as much or as little as you like. Ask me questions, pick my brains, let me show you techniques as we go along and take the recipes home.

£69 per person for a 4-hour class including welcome coffee or tea, croissants, lunch, all the recipes and the detailed timing plan. Places are limited to 6 people per class.

The Advent Workshop in December is a 3-hour class and costs £59, which includes a selection of food to take home with you and all the recipes, but does not include lunch.

Groups are small (6 people), so you can take part as much or as little as you like. Ask me questions, pick my brains for culinary advice or let me show you handy techniques as we go along. You’ll leave with all the recipes and a timing plan to help you recreate the meal from start to finish in your own kitchen.

If you’re looking for a really special day for a private group of family, friends or colleagues, I can tailor a bespoke menu for you. I would be happy to send you some ideas and accommodate any dietary requirements. You can also buy a gift voucher for any food-lovers in your life.

This class shows you how to make some show-stopper meals that involve a bit of effort ahead of time, but demand very little attention once you’re all gathered together, letting you all enjoy the fun without tying you to the oven or hob at the last-minute.

Mediterranean cooking is packed full of plants, making it one of the healthiest diets anywhere in the world. It’s an ideal way to pack in the 30 different plants a week doctors recommend for good gut health (and, by extension, good mental health). I will teach you a selection of delicious dishes packed full of flavour, nutrients and colour that include at least 30 plant varieties, making it easy to reach your goal each week.

You may get all nostalgic for the days of sweet trolleys, rib-sticking puddings covered in custard and a sherry-laced trifle (and I certainly don’t blame you!) but perhaps you’re ready to learn some new, fresher takes on dessert? I will give you exciting new ideas, new recipes – and a new lease of life (because for many of us, pleasures like pudding are just what life’s all about!)

If you’re struggling to get enough protein into your meals, I have lots of delicious ideas for breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks, all taking less than 30 minutes to prepare and taking minimum effort. Perfect for anyone with a busy and active life, and for feeding hungry kids.
